Aurora Trusted Kitchen collects personal details in one place, the kitchen request form, and uses them to pass your request to a remodeler.

What the form asks for

These are the fields on the form, under the labels you see beside them:

• Your name. Whatever you type here, so the remodeler knows who they are talking to.
• Phone, for the remodeler to call. The number a remodeler uses to reach you about the kitchen.
• Email (optional). Only if you fill it in, for a remodeler to write to instead of calling.
• Which scope is closest?. The option you pick (refacing, new cabinets, countertops, a full remodel or not sure), so the request goes to someone who does that kind of job.
• What do you want to change?. Your description of the kitchen, passed on as you wrote it.
• Photos of the kitchen as it is (optional). Any pictures you attach, which show the inside of your home.

The form also has one hidden field that people never see. It exists to catch programs that fill in every box, and nothing a person types ends up in it.

Photos taken on a phone can carry the place they were taken in the file itself. If you'd rather not send that, switch off location for your camera before taking them, or attach a screenshot of the photo instead.

Who your request goes to

It goes to a kitchen remodeler who works in Aurora, so they can contact you about the job. That remodeler is an independent business and keeps its own copy of what you sent, under its own practices.

A remodeler may pay Aurora Trusted Kitchen for the requests it receives. Apart from that, your details aren't passed to anyone to market other products to you, and they aren't sold to list brokers or advertisers.

The companies that host this website, store requests and deliver them by email handle your details on our behalf and for that purpose only.

Checks on each request

When a request arrives it's checked automatically for the marks of spam, such as links in the message or a submission made by a program rather than a browser. A request that looks like spam is still kept and sent to a person to look at, so a real request flagged by mistake isn't thrown away.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from programs. It runs in your browser when the form loads, and Cloudflare receives technical details from the browser, such as its IP address, to make that check.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts from other companies. Its fonts are served from this domain, not from a font company. Like any website, the host receives the technical details a browser sends with every page request, including the IP address, in order to deliver the page.

Counting page views

Aurora Trusted Kitchen counts its own page views, so it can tell which pages people read. It does this itself, with a short script served from this domain. When a page opens, that script sends four things:

• That a page was viewed. That is the only kind of event the script reports.
• The page, as the part of the address after the domain name (for example /guides/kitchen-remodel-cost/), with anything after a question mark removed.
• The domain of the site that sent you here, if your browser shares it. Only the domain, never the page on it or a search you typed.
• The width of your browser window in pixels, which shows whether pages are being read on phones or larger screens.

The site's server adds what it can already see in the request for the page: the type of browser, the country, region and city the connection appears to come from, the network provider, which of the host's data centres answered, the host's label if it recognises a known crawler, whether the page loaded, and the time. Your IP address is used only to turn that day's visits into one anonymous count and is not kept: it's mixed with the date and a private value into a code that can't be turned back into an address and doesn't carry over to the next day. There is no cookie, no profile of you across visits, and none of this is sold or shared for advertising.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

You can ask to see what was kept from your request, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Send the ask through the request form, choose "Not sure yet" as the scope, and put the number from your original request in the phone field, which is how it gets matched up.

A deletion covers what Aurora Trusted Kitchen holds. It can't reach the copy a remodeler already received, so if you want that removed too, ask them directly as well.

Requests are kept for as long as they're useful for following up on the kitchen, and no longer than you want them kept.

Children

The site is for homeowners planning work on their own kitchen and isn't meant for anyone under 18.

When this policy changes

If a field is ever added to the form, the list above changes in the same update, before the new field goes live. The site's terms of use cover everything else about using it.
